Sea Sanctuary will aim to work in partnership with the NHS Pastoral Team, which is a county wide service and we will expect to receive referrals for a range of our services on board.

This aspect of mental health care is often overlooked- we will endeavour to ensure it is placed within a relevant context and made easily accessible.

Working with Faith Communities, Sea Sanctuary will provide a perfect and tranquil environment whilst people address these important matters.

Sea Sanctuary will seek to work alongside and actively support individuals, groups, carers and staff as they address the issues of meaning, transcendence and values in a mental health context.

These issues will be for people of all religions and of none. Sea Sanctuary will aim to work inclusively, acknowledging and affirming issues of diversity in religious and spiritual beliefs and practice.

We will concentrate on questions of:

  • Meaning
  • Purpose
  • Ethics
  • Religion and Ritual
  • Exploration of the Self
