‘Sail into Life’ Programme – Health Education

The ‘Sail Into Life’ programme is a residential 4-day placement, for up to 5 people. We start at 9am on Monday morning and run through to 5pm on Thursday evening, offering 3 nights on board our yacht and delivering a real experience of life afloat. ‘Sail Into Life‘ is delivered to both adult groups and groups of young people, with groups assembled according to individual’s ages and requirements.

The days entail a mixture of sailing around Carrick Roads and onboard psychological education workshops, based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with Mindfulness. The workshops aim to focus on ways we can respond to situations, breaking often habitual unhelpful patterns of reacting. The programme is suitable for anyone experiencing difficulties due to poor mental health and well-being.

Some of the key areas we examine on the Sail Into Life Programmes are:

  • General mental health awareness
  • Anxiety management
  • Living with depression
